Program Steering Committee

The Program Steering Committee (PSC) consists of national and international leaders with extensive expertise in cancer research, outreach, training, and education in minority populations.

The purpose of the PSC is to provide oversight and advice to the PIs relative to the Partnership’s overall objectives. Activities of the committee include:

  • Providing recommendations for establishing overall priorities, changing directions, and identifying new areas of opportunity for the partnership;
  • Reviewing the progress of current pilot projects and cores to recommend their continuation, termination, or readiness to seek external funding through traditional mechanisms;
  • Reviewing and recommending changes in institutional commitment of resources to the partnership; and
  • Providing guidance and strategic advice in the planning and submission of the U54 renewal and other related applications.
